DANCING TANGO WITH IMAGO - PERSONAL EXPERIENCES

All of us who experienced the couples' workshop with Hedy and Yumi Schleifer remember the "Waooo"- that feeling of excitement we were left with following the experience. Our hearts expanded towards our partner and a wonderful feeling of renewal flowed in the relationship. The question remains: how do we maintain the "fuel" of the Imago spirit in the couple with time? What do we do in those situations in which one partner is more enthusiastic about keeping the Imago dialogue going, and the other's excitement decreases, perhaps dissolves, with the routine of everyday life? Some of us as Imago therapists continue the wonderful spirit of Imago in our clinical lives with our patients; some of us are able to transform Imago to a way of life. This panel will create the opportunity to share personal experiences with Imago, to think creatively how to keep the power of the tool of the dialogue in our lives, and understand the dilemma of "walking the walk" of Imago. Leora Grunhaus is a Family and Couple's therapist, a senior instructor and lecturer in the field.
