PARENTCIRCLE

Dr. David Flohr 11.08.2008 05:54

This ParentCircle training is conducted as a hands on "how to" approach to the model. The focus is on illumination of the concepts, working with the actual processes in real time and then processing to heighten learnings and more fully integrate the experience. The goal is for participant's to achieve initial competency in running a ParentCircle group & program.

The ParentCircle is a safe, energetic ongoing group process, which combines Parent Education, Personal Growth and Support processes to empower parents and facilitate the resolution of unsatisfying core patterns. The ParentCircle meets every other week for a 2-hour block of time. I will limit the size of the group to 10. This is a "parent focused" group rather then a "child focused" group. Regular attendance is very important and I encourage you to consider this only if you are ready to make a strong commitment to the process. Couples, single parents, foster parents, grandparents with primary parenting responsibilities, gay & lesbian parents are all welcome. If you come as a couple I force you (smile) to sit separately and at least pretend you are highly differentiated from each other.

Within the ParentCircle there is laughter, the hardest core work, opportunities for parent education/training and the availability of the ongoing support so necessary for any enduring and meaningful change and growth to unfold.
